To make the most of your senior session, planning multiple outfits is key! The number of outfits will depend on the length of your session. For a 1-hour session, I recommend bringing 2 outfits (or 3 if you’re quick with changes). For a 2-hour session, plan on 3–4 outfits.
Here’s why: during shorter sessions, you want to maximize your time taking photos and exploring the location instead of spending too much time changing outfits or retouching makeup. The longer your session, the more flexibility we’ll have to capture a wide variety of looks and styles without feeling rushed. Thoughtful planning ensures you’ll have a collection of images that truly showcase your personality and give you plenty of options to choose from!
When choosing your outfits, think about pieces that add movement and a splash of color. Flowy dresses are always a standout—they create beautiful, dynamic shots, especially if we’re outdoors where the wind can work its magic. Whether we’re at the beach, in a field, or walking downtown, outfits with movement bring an effortless, natural vibe to your photos.
And don’t shy away from a pop of color! Bright hues or bold patterns can make your images stand out, especially against neutral or natural backdrops. These thoughtful details will take your senior photos to the next level!
